Job Posting Description
Marcum LLP is seeking a Bookkeeper for our growing and well-established firm in our New York City office. This position requires a high energy, experienced professional with strong interpersonal skills.

Day-to-day management of numerous clients.
Prepare payments including wires, ACH payments, and checks.
Write-ups of accounting from client bank activity.
Liaise with clients and their advisors, including banking, investment, and insurance advisors.
Flexibility in schedule (able to work nights and weekends when necessary).
Assist with long-term planning for clients.
Review and maintain tax records to facilitate preparation of tax returns for various individual, partnerships, LLC’s, S Corps, trusts and charitable entities.
Oversee and manage the calendar of current and/or recurring payments.
Administration of monthly payroll, including 401(k) and bi-weekly payroll.
Minimum 7 plus years bookkeeping experience.
Superb communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
Able to problem solve and think both creatively and logically.
Able to work alone or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
Display effective organizational skills, managing multiple and competing priorities

Diplomatic, tactful and discrete concerning confidential information.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, finance/accounting degree a plus.
CPA Designation and/or other advanced degrees and certifications strongly preferred.
